Famous Spot Remover

Famous Spot Remover

Items Needed & Instructions

* you can substitute for an oil of your choice

* test in an inconspicuous area before using

 

 

Option #1 (Original Formula)

 

  • Spray or Flip Cap Bottle
  • Vodka
  • White Distilled Vinegar
  • Borax
  • Grapefruit Essential Oil *
  • Tea Tree Essential Oil *
  • Clean, Absorbent Cloth

 

Option #1    (Original Formula )

If you want to use essential oils, add 30 drops (15 grapefruit/15 tea tree) to 2 TBS vodka in a measuring cup before step 1.
 
Steps:
1. Add 8oz filtered HOT water to the measuring cup
2. Mix
3. Add 3 tsp Borax
4. Mix until dissolved
5. Add 3 tsp white distilled vinegar
6. Mix
7. Add cool water until you reach 16oz

 

Option #2

 

  • Spray or Flip Cap Bottle
  • Glycerin
  • Washing Soda
  • Grapefruit Essential Oil *
  • Tea Tree Essential Oil *
  • Clean, Absorbent Cloth

 

 

Option #2 (alcohol & borax free)

 

If you want to use essential oils, add 30 drops (15 grapefruit/15 tea tree) to 1 TBS glycerin in a measuring cup before step 1.
 
Steps:
1. Add 16oz hot water to measuring cup
2. Add 2 TBS of washing soda
3. Mix
 
 

Saturate spot. Let sit 2-3 minutes. Blot with clean cloth. Repeat if necessary. Always test in an inconspicuous area first.

For Option #1: Not recommended for laundry stain removal as it can bleach out fabric if saturated too long before rinsing/washing.

Hand Sanitizer

Hand Sanitizer

Items Needed + Instructions

 

  • Small Hand Sanitizer Bottle
  • Vodka (high proof)
  • Filtered Water
  • Essential Oil(s) of your choice
Steps:
 
1. I use a 3.5oz bottle so I fill with 2.5oz alcohol. I just eyeball it. Fill between 65-70%.
2. Add 40 drops of the essential oil of your choice. You can mix & match oils.
3. Mix
4. Add filtered water to top it off.
5. Put sprayer top on.
6. Shake to mix.

Take this with you on the go, keep in your purse, attach to kids backpacks and perfect for air travel!

Laundry Detergent ~ Powder

Original Powder Laundry Detergent

Items Needed + Instructions

 

  • Sodium Percarbonate (or oxiclean)
  • Washing Soda
  • Baking Soda
  • Grated Castile Soap
  • Essential Oil(s) of your choice
Steps:
 
1. Add 2 cups each of sodium percarbonate and washing soda, 1 cup of baking soda, and a 1/4 cup of flaked castile soap.
2. Add 60 drops of the essential oil of your choice. You can mix & match oils.
3. Mix

 

Use 1-2TBS per load. Add directly to clothes in basin. HE + color-safe.

Air Refresher

Air Freshener

Items Needed + Instructions

 

  • Spray Bottle of your choice
  • Vodka (high proof)
  • Filtered Water
  • Essential Oil(s) of your choice
Steps:
 
1. Add 2 TBS vodka to a measuring cup.
2. Add 100 drops of the essential oil of your choice.
You can mix & match oils. Adjust oil amount to the size of your bottle. I use 100 drops for 16oz.
3. Mix
4. Add filtered water to top it off.
5. Put sprayer top on.
6. Shake to mix.

Spay anything that needs refreshing - rooms, couches, linens, etc!

Carpet Refresher

Carpet Refresh

Items Needed + Instructions

 

 

  • Shaker Bottle
  • baking soda
  • Essential Oil(s) of your choice

 

Steps:
 
1. Fill your shaker bottle full of baking soda.
2. Pour baking soda out into mixing bowl.
3. Add 40 drops of the essential oil of your choice. You can mix & match oils.
4. Mix
5. Add baking soda back to shaker bottle.
 

Refresh any room in seconds!

Toilet Fizz

Toilet Fizz

Items Needed + Instructions

 

  • Sodium Percarbonate (or oxiclean)
  • Citric Acid (or lemishine)
  • Washing Soda
  • Essential Oil(s) of your choice
Steps:
 
1. Add 1 cup sodium percarbonate, 1 cup citric acid and 1/4 cup washing soda in a bowl.
2. Add 40 drops of the essential oil of your       choice. You can mix & match oils.
3. Mix
4. Store in an airtight container.
 

Pour 1/8-1/4 cup in the bowl, let dissolve, brush + flush!

Surface Scrub

Original Surface Scrub

Items Needed + Instructions

 

  • Calcium Carbonate
  • Sodium Carbonate (washing soda)
  • Sodium Bicarbonate (baking soda)
  • Liquid Castile Soap
  • Essential Oil(s) of your choice
Steps:
 
1. In a bowl, combine 1/2 c of calcium               carbonate, 1/4 washing soda and 1/8 c         baking soda.
2. Mix
3. Add 1 tsp castile soap.
4. Mix.
5 Add 40 drops of the essential oil of your       choice. You can mix & match oils.
6. Mix
7. Store in an airtight container.

Use on:

Sinks

Ovens

Stoves

Counters

Tile

Grout

Any place that needs a good scrubbin'!

Shower Spray

Shower Spray

Items Needed + Instructions

 

  • Spray Bottle of your Choice
  • Vodka (high proof)
  • White Distilled Vinegar
  • Filtered Water
  • Essential Oil(s) of your choice

          (lavender, peppermint, tea tree are great options)

Steps:
 
1. Add 2 TBS of vodka to measuring cup.
2. Add 40 drops of the essential oil of your       choice. You can mix & match oils.
3. Mix
4. Add 1/2 c distilled white vinegar.
5. Add 1 1/2 c filtered water to top it off.
6. Pour into spray bottle - put sprayer top on.
7. Shake to mix.

Spray down walls and glass after each shower to keep them clean and fresh
